Kathlyn Moores, RMT

Kathlyn, who goes by Kat for short, has always had a passion for sport, movement and understanding the human body. Kat grew up playing a variety of sports but knew that being a professional athlete was not in her future. In order to stay involved in sport and make a career out of it, she moved to Calgary in 2010 to begin her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. Kat majored in Athletic Therapy and graduated in 2014 with distinction. In 2016 she certified with the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association to become a Certified Athletic Therapist.

Feeling like a part of her education was still missing, Kat decided to go back to school in 2017 to pursue a Massage Therapy diploma. Kat became a Registered Massage Therapist in October, 2018 and will graduate with 3000 hours of experience in February, 2019.

Kat has a passion for working with athletes of all levels and getting them back to sport and play. But, she also enjoys working with anyone who needs to rehab an injury, get rids of aches and pains, or just enjoy a little relaxation.

Having a strong background in orthopedic assessment, Kat will get to the root of the problem  and use a variety of techniques to treat it. Known to specialize in deep tissue work, she also likes to incorporate lighter relaxation techniques and always adjusts her treatments to your needs. Kat believes in creating a treatment plan to address the main problem and your overall wellness to effectively treat the whole body.

When not treating clients at the clinic, Kat can be found at the rink working with youth minor hockey, which she has been doing for 5 years. She also enjoys attending different fitness classes throughout the city, hiking with her dog, or just spending the day in with a good book.
