Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is a very effective therapy tool that utilizes acoustic sound waves to aid in final healing of injured tissues.  The therapy works by increasing local blood circulation and metabolism and decreasing pain within the tissues.

Conditions treated include:

- Heel spurs/plantar fascitis
- Shoulder pain/rotator cuff syndrome
- Achilles tendonitis
- IT band syndrome
- Tennis elbow
- Golfer's elbow
- Patellar tendonitis
- Shin splints

Studies have shown Shockwave therapy to be very effective in treating the above conditions.  Often it only takes 4-6 visits over a 3-5 week time frame.  As of April 1st we will be able to provide Shockwave at both our Bow Bottom and our Macleod Trail locations.
