J Wellington grew up in Nova Scotia where he studied kinesiology at Dalhousie University, then continuing to University of Western Ontario to obtain a Diploma in Pedorthics. He is currently a Canadian Certified Pedorthists candidate. His experiences with the Dal track team – both as a competitive sprinter and athletic trainer, lead to his keen interest in athletic performance and health-care, particularly in regards to biomechanics.

From then, determining whether the orthotic to should support, align, prevent and/or accommodate foot abnormalities to improve foot function.
