Graston Technique

Graston Technique is a form of cross friction therapy that breaks down adhesions and scar tissue from both chronic and acute injuries throughout the body. It is also effective in decreasing post-surgical scarring. Repetitive motion injuries can also be effectively treated. By using a stainless steel tool, areas of decreased motion and scar tissue are located. These areas are then treated by causing a breakdown, or reorganization, of the scar tissue. This helps restore normal function to the tissue and improve its ability to resist future injury.

Graston is effective in treating:

  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Shin Splints
  • Hamstring Strain
  • IT Band Problems
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Tendonitis
  • Rotator Cuff Injuries
  • Shoulder Impingement Syndrome
