Donna Piercy is a Registered Psychologist and is the Director of Psychological Services for Optimum Wellness Centers. Donna provides counseling to individuals experiencing a variety of difficulties which including managing chronic pain and chronic health challenges, complex trauma such as accidental injury (such MVA), work-related injury and lifelong trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, anger, stress management, self-esteem/self-efficacy issues, addictions, eating disorders, and life stage issues such as grieving and health crisis intervention. Donna is approved to provide services for WCB, private insurance companies, and is certified to provide competency assessment (not child/divorce matters). She also provides workshops on a variety of challenges such as stress management, chronic pain, and depression management.
Donna’s credentials include Certification as a Registered Psychologist, and is a member of the Psychology Association of Alberta and College of Alberta Psychologists. She has a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology with a Specialization in Rehabilitation, Bachelor of Physical Education, is certified as a Exercise Physiologist by the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP), and is certified as a master trainer for the Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification Association (AFLCA). Currently Donna is in the process of completing postgraduate Chronic Pain Certification at the University of Alberta.
Donna’s interests include swimming, weight training, equestrian events, hiking and traveling. Donna lives in a rural location and enjoys caring for her numerous animals, including seven horses.
