Alicia graduated from Algonquin College with an advanced diploma in massage therapy. During her years at Algonquin College she had the opportunity to work in two different hospitals in Ottawa and work alongside the University of Ottawa’s sport teams. Once she graduated she started working in a Physiotherapy clinic in Ottawa. In the summer of 2015 Alicia made the move from Ottawa to Calgary and she is now registered with the Massage Therapy Association of Alberta (MTAA).
Alicia has always been a very active person. She loves outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing and canoeing. She also enjoys playing all types of sports and is always challenging herself. When challenging your body and pushing yourself to improve, you often come across various injuries, which is how she became interested in massage therapy.
Alicia’s goals as a massage therapist are to help her clients reach their health and fitness goals. Whether that is to decrease stress, to treat any current or chronic injuries, or to prevent injuries, she is here to help. Each treatment is custom to each client and focuses on their specific needs. Good client/therapist communication is very important; Alicia always appreciates feedback from clients. She wants her clients to walk out of a massage feeling an improvement in their body. She wants to educate her clients as best as she can and will often create a home-care or exercise routine to fit their personal lifestyle.
